Sibley is a neighborhood school with an excellent elementary education program, support services and opportunities to meet the needs of all 480 students in grades K-5. The Sibley attendance area includes the southeast sector of the city and rural areas. Forty-four licensed staff and 18 support staff and paraprofessionals provide a comprehensive educational program. With semi self-contained classrooms, students attend specials in art, media, music and physical education. Instruction is also enhanced through numerous volunteer efforts, which include parents, community members, St. Olaf College students, Carleton College students and "service learning students" from Northfield High School. Sibley's active Parent/Teacher Organization sponsors a number of activities and programs that occur throughout the year. Outdoor recreational opportunities at Sibley include a large playground, a softball field and the Sibley Marsh Area.
There is a Wonderful Wednesday Breakfast survey ready to take on the "Volunteer Opportunities" web site. Click on Volunteer Opportunities on the Sibley Homepage and on the left hand side you'll find the Wonderful Wednesday Breakfast Survey link. Click and take the survey at your convenience.
