Woods 1 GENERAL GOALS The course covers the safe operation of both hand and machine woodworking tools in the woodshop. Students who have little or no experience in woodworking are encouraged to register for this class. Specific areas to be covered in the class include buying lumber, furniture construction, gluing and finishing techniques. Each student will have a choice of four types of wood to construct a Night Stand to bring home at the end of the course. CLASS FEE : $10.00 - plus the cost of materials for the project. |
Photography 1 This semester course is offered to sophomores, juniors and seniors who have met the Art 1-Foundation and Art 2-Exploration prerequisites with a "C+" average or higher. Students taking this course will learn basic skills and techniques in camera handling, B&W darkroom, digital cameras, and composition through the art of photography. Emphasis will be placed on the technical aspect of photography equipment and processes, before being exposed to compostional and creative elements of the medium. Seniors without Art 1 and 2 needs Instructior permission. Class Fee: $20.00 |
