We are explorers and imagination kings and queens.

We love to get our hands dirty.

We love to ask questions.

We love to tell you what we think.

We are curious about...everything.

These are some places where you can begin to get ideas on places to explore, chart, and share with your child. Share your experiences with us.

Global pen pals
Fun ideas for your child, browse, get ideas. This sort of activity (pen pals) gets students writing practice, social awareness, and friends!
Google earth Spanish
The coolest website, in Spanish! Downloads are free, take up some space on your computer, but really fantastic tool.
Loon Adoption
The class (Sr. Seidl and Mrs. Morrissey) have adopted a loon! Sr. Seidl's class named our loon "Juliet" and Mrs. Morriessey's class named theirs "Romeo"!!! Ours is a female that lives on Lake Minocwa in Wisconsin and Mrs. Morrissey's loon lives in New Hampshire. I have included this link to show you what we have done and to follow other great programs this organization has.
Math practice
Great site. It has lots of rote practice (necessary for memorization) that keeps kids motivated.
Math practice- Word Problems
I love, love, love this site! It is wonderful and inventive. It walks the student through word problems that is structured and perfect for practice.
Ology
This is great science in action. There are experiments, facts, questions, everything you want to know about lots of things. Enjoy this for hours.
PBS Design Squad
The very coolest (I know, I already have a "coolest" site, but seriously, this IS the coolest) site on earth - relating to engineering. Go here and find different projects in engineering you can do at home with things in the junk drawer. Also, great video of kids on the show. GO TO THIS SITE!
Pearson Learning MCA
This is where you can work on MCA skills, VERY USEFUL!!!
Science experiments in Spanish
These are fun investigations in Spanish, give it a try!
Science questions, answered!
This is very interesting science, aimed more at adults, but I know the kids are capable of understanding the content. Really fun to explore.
Science...AT HOME!
I love this. Lots of great things to do at home when it is snowy and cold, or, hopefully, someday, rainy!
Space Webquest
This is an internet exploration called a "webquest". It engages the student through an online investigation. You can access this site and see what we are up to. I think it is a great opportunity for students to use the internet to research information. Also, the project is perfect for our exploration of the planets.
Test taking skills MCA
There are great tips for being prepared AND for taking a test. Test taking skills are important, and in third grade, we talk about them and test them for the first time.
Translator
This is a really user friendly, basic translation tool you can use...if you need to.
Treehugger- GREEN SCIENCE
This is a FASCINATING website that you could spend hours with your child browsing. I find that not only do the kids love science, they want to help the planet/others and this site gets ideas going. Exciting!
