Y Sign Dedication, Nov. 2011 DECA is a business club where students get a chance to compete against other business students from Minnesota high schools. We meet Tuesdays before school, S112, 7:10 a.m. What is DECA Video Link: Look under PROMOTE; select "watch promotional video" National DECA Scholarship link Who can participate? Anyone! It is EXTREMELY helpful to have taken or currently taken a business course What is the time commitment? DECA will meet Tuesdays before school each week in S112, 7:10-7:40 a.m. When are competitions? The Fall Leadership Conference is in October and District Competition is January 11, 2013. Students who make it to State will compete in March, 2013. What are the event choices? You can choose between about 25 different business-related events to compete in, competing in 2-3 events. You can compete individually or with a partner. You are judged by adult business professionals. Where are the competitions? In Minneapolis and St. Paul Why should I do this ? *Looks great on a college/scholarship app or resume! *Allows me to learn more about various business topics *Provides me with a great experience and a chance to meet new friends *I'LL HAVE FUN!!!
