Watercolor Painting is an advanced-level painting course open to all students who have completed Art I - Foundation and Art II - Exploration. Watercolor Painting gives students the opportunity to continue developing the painting skills that they developed in previous courses. Students create a large body of work that is both conceptual and perceptual throughout the semester. Students will continue to talk about and discuss their artwork and the artwork of others during class critiques at the end of each assignment. The students are also challenged to continue working on their drawing skills which are an important part of being a strong painter through weekly sketchbook assignments. Below you will find the course syllabus for Watercolor Painting as well as the assignments for the paintings that students will complete during the semester.
